Leeds United have struggled for goals in the absence of England international Bamford who has been restricted to just five league games because of the aforementioned ankle problem. The England national team player has not featured for the Whites since the 1-1 draw at Newcastle United in September.

Bamford recently became an England international as he was given his debut by manager Gareth Southgate in a Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Andorra in September.

Apart from Bamford, Leeds United would also be without the duo of Luke Ayling and Robin Koch for the Leicester City game. Ex-Arsenal defender Ayling has missed several weeks of football due to a knee injury and he’s on course to return to the first team squad for the away game against North London club Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League after the international break. Bamford could also make a return against Spurs just like what’s obtainable with Ayling.

On his part, German defender Koch is expected to take a longer time to return to the Leeds United first team squad as he continues his recovery from pelvic injury.

Leeds United have struggled for wins this season as they have been restricted to just two wins all season partly due to the absence of key players like Bamford and Ayling. The Whites can win two successive games in the league for the first time this season with victory over Leicester City. Leeds United were in the relegation zone when they faced Norwich City on Sunday, but they were able to climb out of the danger zone with the 2-1 away win over the Canaries.
