Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has recovered from the calf injury that made him miss the three England games in November. The right-back returned to Liverpool action at the weekend during the win over Wolves in the Premier League. He was a second half substitute as the Reds secured another league victory at home this season. Liverpool beat Wolves 4-0 at home to record their sixth victory from six home games in the league this term.

Trent Alexander-Arnold played the final 22 minutes of the Wolves game after coming on in the place of Neco Williams in the second half. He had missed the last four games in the colours of the Reds before returning to action against midlands club Wolves at Anfield on Sunday night. Klopp warns Southgate about Euro 2020 problems if five subs are not allowed


Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is of the opinion that England boss Gareth Southgate will have to do with a depleted squad when England take part in the Euro 2020 this summer. He believes that the lack of planning from the Premier League might end up wearing out the players.Klopp has frequently called for the Premier league to bring back the option of having five substitute per match.

The Liverpool boss has also called for the broadcasters to think about scheduling games on a Wednesday and an early Saturday kick-off. Due to the pandemic, players have enjoyed a small break between the previous and current campaigns.

England midfielder Declan Rice has matched a long-term record following his goal in the big win over Iceland on Wednesday night. The West Ham United was one of the scorers as England beat their opponents 4-0 at home in a UEFA Nations League outing.

Rice opened the floodgate of goals for his team to become the first player in 90 years to score for England after playing for another country. The feat was last managed by Gordon Hodgson in 1930.
